SAFETY PRECAUTION
- Wear gloves, goggles, a dust mask, long pants, a long-sleeve shirt and rubber boots when applying fertilizer.
- Keep people and animals off fertilized grass or plants for AT LEAST 24 hours after the application.
- DO NOT apply on a windy day.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
NEW LAWNS
Apply 20-30 lbs. of fertilizer per 1000 square feet and work into the top 2-3 inches of topsoil before sodding, seeding or sprigging.
GARDENS
Apply 20-30 lbs. of fertilizer per 1000 square feet and work into the top 3-4 inches of soil before planting.
ESTABLISHED LAWNS
Cool Season Grasses
Bluegrass, Bent grass, Fescues, Ryegrass
Apply 10-20 lbs. of fertilizer per 1000 square feet in the Spring and Fall. Early Spring treatment will give grasses a head start.
Warm Season Grasses
Bermuda. St. Augustine, Centipede, Carpet, Bahia, Zoysia
Apply 10-15 lbs. of fertilizer per 1000 square feet in Spring, midseason, and Fall.
SHRUBS AND BUSHES
Apply 1/4 lb. of fertilizer for shrubs for every 3-4 feet across. Apply uniformly under the shrub, then slowly water in until the soil is well saturated.
TREES
Apply 1/4 lb. of fertilizer for each inch of trunk diameter about 3 feet above ground surface. Distribute evenly at the drip line (outer perimeter of tree branches) and water in well. Feed in the Spring and Fall.
GARDENS
Apply 20-30 lbs. of fertilizer per 1000 square feet and work into the top 3-4 inches of soil before planting.

APPLICATION PATTERN
FOR COMPLETE COVERAGE, cut the recommended application rate in half and apply evenly in a crisscross pattern (going over the same area TWICE, thus applying full amount).
